Health Care Assistant (Part-time)

Monitor and care for the physical, emotional, and social needs of New Haven's students.  Provide the students with therapeutically based consequences, both positive and negative. Supervise the students throughout their scheduled activities such as recreational activities, meal times, and chores.  Accompany and support the students at the on site school, and in group and recreational therapy.

The shifts that are offered are:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday morning (7am-3pm).
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday morning (7am-3pm).
Monday, Wednesday, Friday evening (3-11pm).
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday evening (3-11pm).

We also offer On-call HCA positions which involve picking up shifts for scheduled employees who want time off.

The position requires experience working with at risk youth, or post high school training in mental health.  A valid driver’s license is required and employees must be 21 or older to drive company vehicles.  A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
