Amanda Fahnestock, Sacagawea House Lead

Amanda was born in Arizona but grew up in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho and then spent a few years in Boise, Idaho. She played volleyball at Utah State University for a year and then transferred to Colorado State University and played volleyball there. She graduated in May of 2008 with a Bachelors degree in Human Development & Family Studies with an emphasis in adolescent and families. She is the oldest of five children with 3 sisters and 1 brother. She started working at New Haven in January 2008 as a Health Care Assistant. She has also had the opportunity to work at each house on the South Campus of New Haven. Amanda loves having relationships with all of the girls and the staff she works with. . She loves working at New Haven because she gets to be involved in helping girls and their families work through life's challenges and help them see the growth and change that is possible. Outside of work, Amanda loves to spend time with her family, play sports, travel the world, ride her horses, play her guitar, and sing. She is getting married this August in Salt Lake City.
