International Students
New Haven RTC is an international school that provides a high-caliber therapeutic and academic program for adolescent girls who have struggled with emotional or behavioral obstacles. Our program is approved by the US federal government to accept international students and our curriculum is designed to accommodate the academic and cultural needs of international students. If your child is not a US citizen but you would like to discuss enrolling her in our program, please call 1-888-317-3958 , email us at Admissions@NewHavenRTC.com, or fill out our convenient inquiry form online. Our staff is happy to discuss your specific situation and how our program works with international students. Some of the specifics of our international program follow:
Education: Transferring Credits
New Haven's academic program is US accredited through NAAS, the most prominent accreditation body in our region and part of the largest regional accreditation system in the US. This is the same accreditation body that approves all major US universities and school systems. Our academic team is experienced in working with the education systems of other countries to ensure that credits are transferable to our students' home countries.
SEVP: International Student and Exchange Visitor Program
We are approved by the US federal government to accept international students through SEVP. Our admissions staff can help parents of international students ensure that they have the correct visa and have registered properly with SEVP through the SEVIS database. Once enrolled, we will help you maintain SEVP approved status throughout your child's enrollment.
Canadian Students
New Haven is set up to accommodate the requirements of all Canadian provincial school systems and is an approved service provider in Ontario, meaning that funding opportunities are available to approved residents of Ontario.
Transfer of Credits
New Haven's education director is Canadian and has extensive experience working with Canadian school systems to ensure that New Haven students receive credit for the school work they complete while they are in treatment.
Ontario Students: MOHLTC Approved
New Haven is an Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC) approved out-of-country provider and is licensed in the state of Utah to provide residential treatment services for female adolescents, ages 12 - 18.
