Lexi believes in the power of experience to teach and effect change within individuals and families. Raised in Portland, Oregon, Lexi grew up hiking, waterskiing, playing the piano, reading, camping, and playing volleyball. Through these experiences, Lexi was able to develop her identity, become grounded in her values, and learn about resilience, hard work, and curiosity.
Lexi received her BS in Recreation Management and a minor in Family Life from Brigham Young University, where she attended on a full scholarship and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She has worked at New Haven since 2016, beginning as a residential supervisor and transitioning into a full-time position after becoming nationally certified as a recreational therapist. She is certified in sand tray therapy and ropes course facilitation.
Lexi is dedicated to New Haven’s relationship-based, family-focused therapeutic models, and has loved experiencing lasting change alongside families. Lexi brings dependability and humor to the New Haven team. You will often find her laughing with the students, whom she considers the best part of working here. Lexi loves being a part of the New Haven team and enjoys helping guide families through their healing journey.
