Kailey was born and raised in sunny Sarasota, Florida; home of the #1 beach in the US! Kailey earned her Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!). Kailey also received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from UCF and minored in nonprofit management and children’s services. During her graduate experience, Kailey worked at an acute inpatient psychiatric hospital, providing individual and group therapy for adolescents in crisis. While working at the psychiatric hospital, Kailey was exposed to all levels of functioning and different family systems. After graduating college, Kailey began her career in therapy at a community-based outpatient program. Kailey provided therapy for adolescents with mental health concerns, school avoidance, truancy issues, and involvement with the juvenile justice system. After earning her licensure in clinical social work (LCSW), Kailey decided to trade in the beach for the mountains and moved to Utah!
While working in outpatient, Kailey recognized the need for long-term, intensive care. Kailey was drawn to New Haven for the nurturing and relational atmosphere it provides. New Haven’s model allows families to heal alongside one another, and this process is crucial in order for there to be a lasting change.
