Kailon Lewis is a Recreation Therapist at New Haven in the Eleanor Roosevelt home. Kailon has been a certified Recreation Therapist since 2017 and earned her degree from Brigham Young University Idaho. Kailon specializes in working with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, self harm, motivation, oppositional defiance and attachment, through her certification in both Adventure Therapy, and Recreation Therapy. She believes that taking a strengths based approach to students’ struggles allows her to work well with students struggling to see themselves accurately and overcome challenges.
Kailon’s core values include integrity, growth, and charity. Kailon was drawn to New Haven because she loved the importance of experiential therapy within New Haven’s treatment team model. In her free time Kailon loves exploring the outdoors and rock climbing.
