Leanne is kind, open, organized, a great communicator, and listener. She finds it easy to build rapport with her clients because she is patient and seeks to get to know them as an individual. Leanne believes the root of most people’s issues comes from a lack of skill or understanding of emotional intelligence. Understanding one’s emotions and gaining the skills necessary to learn how to manage and express them appropriately is key to success in life.
Leanne received her undergraduate degree from Brigham University-Idaho. She is a certified recreational therapist and is ropes course certified. She is also trained in anxiety, depression, resiliency, leisure and well-being models, and Autism. This is not Leanne’s first experience working at an RTC level of care, she is skilled in working with a variety of diagnoses and enjoys watching the progression of her students in a long-term setting. Leanne is an asset to our team, and we are grateful for the experience and expertise she brings to New Haven.
Leanne values time with her spouse and extended family. If she has free time, Leanne loves to play soccer, volleyball, and rock climb. She also enjoys singing, playing the piano and guitar, or just curling up on the couch with a good book.
