Tori is known for being authentic, reliable, and using her sense of humor when appropriate to help build rapport and create a healthy, safe environment for her clients. Tori is observant, easy to talk to and VERY well organized. Give her a planner and a to-do list and watch her go!
Tori earned her undergraduate and graduate degree from Utah Valley University. She gained experience and knowledge in substance abuse, depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, addiction, dissociative identity disorder (DID), eating disorders, and working with children on the spectrum. She is trained in EMDR, Trauma Focus, Seeking Safety, and CBT.
Tori’s love for working with families began when she took a volunteer opportunity in Africa helping educate children and families. Tori took this passion into her therapeutic journey and began working at a short term RTC. This desire drove her long term here at New Haven. As she has worked in mental health she has come to understand the importance of building an authentic relationship with her clients as well as her team. Building rapport and finding activities to do outside of the traditional talk therapy sessions has proven to be an effective way to engage her students.
Tori spends her free time attending any and all demolition derbies around the state of Utah. If you don’t see her there, you can find her outdoors, hiking, biking, camping, and 4-wheeling with her two dogs.
