Carron Ellsworth, MSW

Carron was raised in a large family near the beautiful Wasatch mountains, just north of Salt Lake City.  Early on, she learned the importance and influence of family on a teenage girl, and has strived since then to learn everything she can to help strengthen families.  She earned a Bachelor of Science in home and family living and went on to earn her master’s of social work from Brigham Young University.  While completing these degrees, she spent her time volunteering as a mentor at a residential treatment center and working with survivors of sexual assault.  She also worked with adolescents and families as a therapist in outpatient and school settings.  She is passionate about and has experience working with abuse and trauma, survivors of sexual assault, crisis work, and familial issues.  She enjoys using techniques from DBT, EMDR, TFCBT, and art therapy.  She also incorporates sand tray, motivational interviewing, and Jungian principles.

Carron has a strong belief in an individual’s ability to overcome obstacles and find solutions.  It is important to her that everyone feel comfortable being themselves in a nonjudgmental and compassionate environment.  She is very excited to be a part of New Haven because of its focus on family, values, and relationships, as well as the amazing team that surrounds her.

Carron is married and enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband who is helping her to love sports.  She loves being outdoors, running, biking, reading, and dancing whenever possible.
