Rebecca graduated from Brigham Young University in 2007 with a B.S. degree in Therapeutic Recreation and a minor in Business. She began working as a residential staff at New Haven in 2006 while finishing school and fell in love with working with the girls and their families.
She did her internship at Center for Change in Orem, UT, an eating disorder clinic for women and girls. Rebecca has worked as a Recreational Therapist in multiple treatment centers over the past 7 years in Utah and Alaska. She has worked with children ages 8-18 and adults in the Utah State Hospital dealing with depression, eating disorders, oppositional defiant disorder, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and anxiety.
Rebecca enjoys applying a variety of experiential interventions to assist in healing. She is passionate about helping others discover their passions, and has worked as a wrangler at Philmont Scout Ranch, volunteered as a snowboard and ski instructor with Challenge Alaska, and volunteered in an orphanage in Kenya. She is also a certified Ropes Course Facilitator.
Rebecca loves being a part of the New Haven Team because of the opportunity to build loving relationships and awaken positive change in girls and their families. She enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.
