Although originally from Harford, Connecticut, Ani graduated from the University of Utah and earned their Master of Social Work Degree.
Ani enjoys working with the kids and providing parents support and guidance needed through this journey, as well as helping repair attachment ruptures.
Ani continuously strives to balance acceptance of where the client is at while simultaneously pushing for change. They believe in promoting a flexible and adaptive mindset that encourages personal growth and transformation.
Ani has received intensive training in various evidence-based approaches including CBT (Cognitive behavior therapy), TF-CBT (Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy), and DBT (Dialectical behavior therapy). Ani is also certified in the ABFT (Attachment-Based Family Therapy) model.
Ani previously trained at Vista Balboa Crisis House, the San Diego LGBT Community Center, adolescent residential settings, Juvenile Justice Youth Services, and completed an internship working with Valley Behavioral Health Children’s Outpatient in Utah. Ani was also awarded the John Hardy Stewart Legacy Award from the University of Utah for Growth.
Ani enjoys spending time with friends, family, and nature. Ani loves to spend time writing poetry, painting in watercolors, and binge-watching documentaries on Netflix. Occasionally one can catch Ani playing the piano.
