His demeanor is calm, and solution focused. He is non-judgmental and honest with those that he works with. His vast experience spans many settings and allows him to customize his approach with each person depending on their needs.
David has been working with adolescents in various capacities for the last 12 years. He began his undergraduate work at Western Governers University and went on to receive his Masters degree in social work at Capella University. He began his work in the field as a therapist in a wilderness setting and found
great value in working with his clients in an experiential way. He went on to work in other residential and wilderness settings gaining experience, and exposure to many approaches and needs. He specializes in utilizing CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Polyvagal therapy while finding success
working with youth struggling with autism or trauma. David loves helping teens make connections to their own lives and to help them feel empowered to make decisions that are going to help them find health and more success in their everyday lives. His vast experience spans many settings and allows him to customize his approach with each person depending on their needs.
When he is not at work, David enjoys camping, hiking, readying or just sitting on a beach somewhere.
