Brendan Ewell, LMFT is direct and immediate in communication. He is collaborative, organized and aware of time management. Brendan brings a lot of humor, when appropriate, to build comfort and connection. His clients and families have been able to actively apply skills and tools that they’ve learned to prove beneficial changes in their symptoms and patterns. They create wellness and confidence in managing their future experiences while working with him. Brendan resonates well with cognitive behavioral philosophies, especially deepening the understanding and awareness that emotions have on impacting thoughts and behaviors. He believes in the philosophy that generally there aren’t bad people, there are only unhealthy patterns, either in behavior, beliefs or coping. Much of Brendan’s therapeutic focus is supporting the identification of maladaptive patterns and assisting with creating and sustaining adaptive patterns.

Brendan received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Utah Valley University. He received a second Master’s in Human Resources from Utah State University and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Brendan is trained in Family Systems work, Trauma, DBT, CBT, ACT, EFT, ADHD, Addiction, EGALA Certified, LGBTQIA, and Faith Transition. He has worked in short term programs, as a Youth Mentor, at a juvenile detention center, and three years at an alternate high school. He especially resonates with psycho-education and is currently working as an adjunct professor at UVU, where he has been teaching psychology courses for the past two years.

In his free time Brendan enjoys camping and hiking. His primary hobby is Rock Climbing, and he also enjoys mountain biking, rappelling, paddle boarding, playing pickleball and volleyball, and going to the movies.
