Shailee was born and raised in Utah. While in her undergraduate studies at Utah Valley University, she began working at New Haven. There she found passion in helping others enhance their lives. Shailee grew to love working with families and helping them understand their own family dynamics. She quickly learned that change can happen when love and boundaries work together. During her four years working as a residential staff, she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Social Work, this laid the foundation of her work as a clinician.

Shailee pursued her goal to become a clinician and graduated with a master’s degree in social work from the University of Utah. She is trained in Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, ERP, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She believes in utilizing the therapeutic relationship with her clients to help them explore, understand, and live their own core values in order to enhance their lives.

Shailee has previously worked in Substance Use as well as working with families in the wilderness therapy setting. She has enjoyed working with adolescents and their families. She believes that long term change happens when both the student and their families work together to change their part to do something different.

Shailee married her childhood best friend. Together they enjoy doing things in the outdoors. She loves to travel, and summers are often spent with many camping and fishing trips. Both personally and professionally she has a way of making those around her feel loved and understood.
