Emma Willard Academic Building
What began as a one-room schoolhouse in 1996 – literally – now contains several classrooms, an art room, a library, and a computer lab. Classes are run like a traditional school, yet are small enough to allow teachers to focus on the individual needs of each student.
New Haven School is committed to creating an encouraging and challenging learning environment that enables students to become well-rounded, healthy, and productive lifelong learners.
The Emma Willard Academic building was named after a woman reformer who advocated for a woman's right for equal education in the early 19th century. She opened the first women's college and helped thousands of women gain access to a mainstream education.

Meet our North Campus Academic Team
Each campus is staffed with a full academic team so that we can provide a traditional college preparatory environment for our students. This allows for teacher lead instruction, small class sizes, and academic supports that range from special education through AP Courses.
